Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru Le Clos Monopole, Château-Fuissé
This also exhibits generous wood and a more subtle touch of vanilla on the very ripe but not really exotic citrus-suffused aromas that are similar if a bit more floral in character. The finer if less powerful middleweight flavors exude fine minerality on the compact and impressively long finale. This lovely effort does need to develop better depth and it's presently a bit woody but the potential is clearly present. - Allen Meadows, Aug. 23
