This is very ripe though not roasted with its liqueur-like nose of cassis, poached plum, forest floor and subtle sauvage hints. The rich, powerful and enveloping large-bodied flavors possess impressive concentration and overt power and muscle while terminating in a beautifully long, compact and very firm finale that flirts with rusticity. The 2022 Corton Les Grands Lolières Grand Cru, which contains 60% whole bunches, has a composed, almost backward nose that demands coaxing from the glass: brown spices sprinkled over mainly black fruit with hints of dark chocolate.
