The cool essence of various red berries, especially wild cherry, displays additional notes of spice and lavender. The rich and relatively concentrated medium-bodied flavors exhibit a lovely sense of underlying tension on the stony, youthfully austere and impressively long finish. The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuesselottes 1er Cru, which includes 50% whole bunches, has a more backward bouquet with dark berry fruit, clove and light tobacco scents: a little Morey-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition and a keen line of acidity, fresh and energetic with a peacock's tail finish.
