The 2019 Volnay 1er Cru Les Brouillards has turned out especially well. Opening in the glass with aromas of red berries and plums mingled with sweet soil tones, hints of raw cocoa and rose petals, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and seamless, with terrific concentration and beautifully refined tannins. Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2019 Volnay Premier Cru Les Brouillards, Louis Boillot
Here there is a lovely elegance to the cool, high-toned and airy aromas of spicy red berry fruit. There is better energy to the delicious saline-inflected flavors that culminate in a markedly firm, youthfully austere and very serious finish.
