The 2019er Berncasteler Doctor Riesling Kabinett was harvested at approx. 88° Oechsle and was fermented down to fully fruity-styled levels of residual sugar. It proves comparatively rich on the nose as scents of yellow peach, apricot, and almond cream emerge from the glass. With airing, it reveals a fresher side driven by candied grapefruit, minty herbs, and smoky elements The wine develops great presence with the creaminess of a Spätlese on the currently still rather sweet palate yet proves already beautifully focused and animating in the long and intense finish.
