There is a touch of herbal tea character to the spice and ultra-fresh red and dark currant scents that include a pretty floral wisp. Vinous - 2017 Volnay Premier Cru Clos des Angles, Marquis d'Angerville

The 2017 Volnay Clos des Angles 1er Cru shows quite a bit of reduction on the nose tasting it from barrel. The palate is more compact than the Volnay Premier Cru, more muscular, although I find it needs a little more grace towards the finish.
