Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2015 Pinot Noir "Caroline" opens with a super fine and elegant but, at the moment, leathery and very spicy, almost animal bouquet of dark fruits, mainly cherries. Silky textured, pure and elegant with intense fruit and fine tannins, this is a promising Pinot Noir with a long, intense finish. This is going to be remarkable in a couple of years. - Stephan Reinhardt, Feb. 2018

90 / 100

Vinous: Scents of cassis and boysenberry, mint and sage, rose hip and black pepper make for an enticing aromatic mélange, and the palate performance does not disappoint. There is some transparency to nuance and primary juiciness here that I have generally missed in previous installments of Cuvée Caroline, and any influence of barrique is limited to relatively well-integrated smokiness that doesn’t dry the finish. The feel is polished if not in itself especially alluring, while cut and crunch of dark berry skins and seeds invigorates and soy-like saline savor successfully activates the salivary glands. I don’t envision this as a long-keeper, but it should be fascinating to follow its progress over the next several years. And given how serious Caroline Diel is about Pinot not to mention her eponymous cuvée, and how successful she seems to be refining it, I’ll certainly be rooting for this 2014’s future success. - David Schildknecht, Nov. 2017
