The 2013er Berg Schlossberg, as it is referred to on the front label, still shows a very primary, reductive, and smoky nose, which however quickly proves very intense and incredibly complex notes of herbs, candied grapefruit, stone fruits, spearmint, blackberry, cassis, licorice, and verbena. The wine is dense, intense, and energetic on the hugely concentrated and complex palate. The finish is immense and beautifully bone-dry. This is still backward but it is already clear that it is a sublime racy dry wine. 2033-2053. - Apr.2023
