The 2019 Idig Königsbach Spätburgunder Grosse Lage offers a deep, intense and toasty bouquet of perfectly ripe fruits reminiscent of dark berries as well as plums, cinnamon, nougat and cherries. Silky, pure and fresh on the palate, this is a lush, fruity, persistently saline and finely tannic Pinot with a stimulating, chalky and grippy finish. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. James Suckling
Very deep and dark with huge, fine tannins that are already beautifully integrated, this is an imposing wine with clove, black-cherry and bitter-chocolate notes, as well as ripe black cherries and forest berries. Lovely “sweetness” that makes the finish very sensual. Excellent aging potential. From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2023.
