Predominantly from the Rothenberg, the 2018 Nackenheim Riesling is intense and flinty on the open nose that displays perfectly ripe and intense but precise and even elegant and slightly flinty fruit. Full-bodied and intense on the elegant and refined palate, this is a stimulatingly salty and refined Riesling with nice grip and mineral purity. Excellent and precise. Zesty lemon and lime along with smoky, stony, subtly fusel accents mark this as a virtually unmistakable product of Nackenheim’s red slopes (or those of Niersteiner Pettental nearest).
