Story
Laurent Ponsot bewirtschaftet rund sieben Hektar eigene Weinberge in renommierten
Appellationen wie Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, Clos Saint-Denis und Chambolle-
Musigny. Ergänzt wird das Portfolio durch Négociant-Weine aus der Côte de Nuits und
der Côte de Beaune. Die Auswahl der Trauben erfolgt dabei ausschließlich nach
höchsten Qualitätskriterien.
Ein Ansatz, mit dem sich Ponsot, der sich als neues „Haute-Couture-Label“ versteht,
von der Entscheidung Maison oder Domaine zu sein, löst.
Seinen Anspruch, die besten Pinot Noirs und Chardonnays des Burgunds zu vinifizieren, übersetzt er in eine naturnahe Arbeit in den Weinbergen mit minimalem Einsatz moderner Kontrollmethoden. Für den Ausbau werden, der Tradition der Domaine Ponsot folgend, ausschließlich gebrauchte Fässer verwendet, für deren Reinigung modernste Säuberungsmaschinen eingesetzt werden.
Stilistisch zeichnen sich die Laurent-Ponsot-Weine durch eine reife, oft saftige Frucht, große Eleganz und eine klare, terroirgeprägte Struktur aus. Der Holzeinfluss bleibt stets im Hintergrund, während Mineralität und Tiefe den Ton angeben. Besonders die Premier- und Grand-Cru-Weine profitieren von einer längeren Flaschenreife und entwickeln mit den Jahren eine beeindruckende Komplexität.
Auch optisch setzt Laurent Ponsot Akzente. Seine futuristischen Etiketten und Kunststoffverschlüsse brechen bewusst mit burgundischen Konventionen. Inhaltlich stehen die Weine jedoch mit überragender Qualität fest in der großen Tradition des Burgunds.
