Vinous
The debut 2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from two parcels, one on the Pernand side and the other on the Ladoix side. It has a complex bouquet with lemon thyme, fern, and light citrus scents that unfold with each swirl of the glass. The palate is well-balanced with a sharp and, maybe, surprisingly malic entry. Quite tensile and Puligny in style, it just needs more "fatness" expected from this Grand Cru. Let's see if it gains a bit more girth in bottle. - Neil Martin, Nov. 2023
Allen Meadows' Burghound
Smoky notes of mineral reduction add breadth to the equally cool and airy nose of green apple, crushed fennel, citrus and a plenitude of floral wisps. The attractively refined if not especially dense medium weight flavors possess an appealing texture that carries over to the markedly stony bitter lemon zest and bone-dry finale. This well-made effort is very much built to reward extended cellaring and will need at least some as it needs to develop better depth. - Allen Meadows, June 2024
