Mosel Fine Wines
The 2025 Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg GG, as it is referred to on the central part of the front label, is a dry wine which was fermented and aged mainly in traditional Fuder cask. This hay-colored wine proves still quite reductive and marked by smoky elements and only gradually reveals its beautifully fresh and delicately floral nose of candied citrusy fruits, bergamot, minty herbs, toast, wet slate, and spices. The wine has good presence and intensity on the palate, where some light fruity elements are wrapped in candied zest and spices. The superb finish is refined and elegant. This is a great expression of dry Ruwer GG in the making and one with upside potential as the youthful zesty notes blend in the wine. 2030-2045
