The 2023er Rausch Spätlese, as it is referred to on the central part of the front label, is a sweet wine made with 90% clean but golden-yellow ripe
grapes. It offers a beautiful nose made of melon, pear, mint, cream, apricot, cucumber, and slate. The wine is subtly creamy and ripe on the palate,
but a ripe touch of lemony acidity comes through in the finish and adds focus to the experience. The acidity also adds a sense of grip to the creamy aftertaste. While riper, the wine remains beautifully light-footed and playful and could easily warrant a higher rating as it develops more cut with age. 2033-2043
