The 2022er Maximin Grünhäuser Abtsberg Riesling Kabinett Nr. 50 was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar. Slightly reductive at first (scents of bacon and smoke), this offers a beautifully aromatic and appealing nose of minty herbs, vineyard peach, candied grapefruit, anise, prune, cherry, and orange zest. The wine has the presence of a Spätlese on the palate as riper flavors of yellow peach, apricot, and guava kick in.The finish proves superbly long, even if a still sweet at the moment.
