From the premiers and grands cru sites and vinified like the crus in oak barrels, the 2022 Riesling Aus den Lagen is an assemblage of cru candidates that didn't make it into the 1G or GG bottlings. Filled in July and released September of this year, this lemon yellow-colored Riesling reveals a deep, intense and flinty bouquet with a very fine reduction and saline note. Lush and savory on the palate, this is a medium-bodied and structured dry Riesling with a vital and finely crunchy finish. This is an authentic and expressive, rather light but serious Riesling. 11.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in December 2023. - Stephan Reinhardt, Dez. 2023
