Auszeichnungen
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Especially in warm vintages such as 2020, the steep, coolish and late-ripening Altenburg premier cru shows its talent. The 2020 Wachenheimer Altenburg P.C. isn't as ripe as the Ruppertsberger Hoheburg but opens with a coolish, refined and elegant nose of perfectly ripe and bright fruits intertwined with delicate spicy notes. Elegant, lush and savory on the palate, this is an intense, dense and full-bodied yet not powerful but tight and terroir-driven 2020 Riesling with fine tannin grip and ripe, mineral acidity. Still a bit young, but the maturation has just started. Very salty and tensioned finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork stopper. Tasted in November 2022. - Stephan Reinhardt, Dez. 2022
James Suckling
Complex fresh-herb and floral nose with a reserved mirabelle aroma, the emphasis firmly on the mineral side, and all packed into a sleek silhouette. Needs some time, but very good aging potential. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2023. - Stuart Pigott, Sep. 2021
