The 2018 Rausch Auslese (AP 8) offers a super clear and elegant, slightly flinty bouquet of perfectly ripe and healthy stone fruit aromas with some raisin and peach skin aromas that give delicacy and complexity. Silky and lush on the palate, this is a highly refined and elegant, beautifully balanced and stimulating Auslese that only protestant professionals would spit. The finish is highly stimulating and incredibly precise and fresh. A gorgeous wine and one of the highlights in the Saar Valley. Highly recommended. Tasted in June 2019.
