Auszeichnungen
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets is one of the more ethereal wines in the cellar, exhibiting classy aromas of red cherries, spices, rose petal and rock salt. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and satiny, with delicate but chalky structuring tannins, bright acids and lovely purity of fruit. I suspect it will improve further before it's bottled.- William Kelley, Jan. 2019
Vinous
The 2017 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru has an elegant, correct, almost conservative bouquet, a bit like a Swiss watch in terms of its precision. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine silky tannin, perfect acidity, very pure with moderate substance, hints of orange zest and marmalade towards the vivacious finish. You could almost drink this now. - Neil Martin, Jan. 2019
Allen Meadows' Burghound
A softly spiced nose grudgingly reveals wafting and perfumed aromas of plum liqueur, violet and a hint of sandalwood. The medium weight flavors are not quite as dense as those of the Frémiets but they're finer still with plenty of the hallmark minerality suffusing the classy and impeccably well-balanced finale. This Zen-like effort should be approachable after only 5 to 7 years of cellaring if that's your preference. - Allen Meadows, Apr. 2019
