Auszeichnungen
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
From vines planted in 1934, the 2017 Nackenheim Rothenberg Wurzelecht Riesling "GG" is very intense and concentrated but also fine and very flinty on the deep and complex yet always finessed and elegant nose. Full-bodied, very intense and concentrated on the palate, this is a dense, highly complex and sustainable Rothenberg with lingering salinity and crystalline mineral backbone. Absolutely impressive. Tasted at the domaine in March 2020.
Vinous
The combination of smoky, stony and marine elements here – on both nose and palate – is fascinating. In keeping with the performance of this year’s village-level Nackenheim bottling, there is a bit more primary juiciness as well as immediate sensual appeal here than in the two Nierstein Grosse Gewächse. The superbly sustained, deeply savory finish is transparent to myriad mineral elements while not forgetting its fundamental duty to quench thirst. - David Schildknecht, Jul. 2019
