Aromas of red berries, warm spices, orange rind and cedary new wood introduce the 2017 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied wine that's bright and tensile, with firm but fine-grained tannins and a chalky, austere profile that mark it out as a wine that will need some time in bottle. Wine Spectator
This is special, from the haunting aromas of rose, wild cherry, currant, mineral and spice to the silky texture and beautifully integrated structure. It's still very young, with a burr to the otherwise refined tannins, finishing long and resonant. Best from 2023 through 2045. 300 cases made, 76 cases imported. - BS, Feb. 2021

Vinous
The 2017 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru has quite a punchy nose, one that wants to be noticed, offering copious dark cherry, wild strawberry and bergamot aromas and becoming ever more floral with aeration. The medium-bodied palate is quite sweet, featuring a touch of fig confit on the entry and candied orange peel lacing the vibrant red fruit. The 10% stem addition lends a little spice on the finish. This is perhaps more expressive than previous vintages I have encountered at this stage in the past. - Neil Martin, Jan. 2019

Allen Meadows' Burghound
A moderately oaked nose is comprised by an exuberantly spicy array of plum, cassis, earth and evident sauvage nuances. The impressively rich and seductively textured broad-shouldered flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract, all wrapped in a balanced, long and highly complex finish. I very much like the way this fans out on the strikingly persistent finish. In short, this is outstanding. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2019
