The 2015 Riesling Kinheimer Hubertuslay Auslese *** (White Capsule) is super clear, fresh and citrus-flavored on the stony nose but also deep and flinty as the devil's hell (which is built out of slate of course). Deep, rich and lush but precise and crystalline on the palate, this is a highly elegant, complex, vital and salty as well as juicy Riesling of great finesse and tension but also great power—although the alcohol is rather moderate (12.5% on the label). If you want to enjoy a three star Auslese early rather than late, it has to be this one (but don't waste too many talents in one evening!). - Stephan Reinhardt, Apr. 2017
