The auctioned 2013 Dorsheimer Pittermännchen Riesling Auslese Gold Capsule offers a complex, mineral, almost flinty bouquet and is even more sophisticated than the regular Auslese. There is even more sweetness here on the palate which makes it even more sensual and voluptuous. Vinous
Golden yellow. Distinguished aromas of pineapple, blackcurrant and nutmeg, with a vague hint of smoky botrytis. The rich, buttery guava fruit is nicely accentuated by saline minerality. Pure, crisp and decidedly rich, this elegantly concentrated Riesling finishes with impressive length and is certainly one of the top Ausleses of the vintage. - Joel B. Payne, März 2015
