Mosel Fine Wines
The 2012er Abts E®, as it is referred to on the front label, comes from the prime Abtserde sector of the Westhofener Brunnenhäuschen vineyard. It has a superbly aromatic, complex, and refined nose of fine Indian spices, tangerine, orange, minty herbs, greengage, white pepper, orange blossom, white peach, herbs, and verbena. The wine is superbly playful and well-balanced on the juicy (as some fruity presence comes through) yet zesty and straight palate. The finish has a gorgeously playful and refined side, with just the right balance of tartness to bring freshness. This superb dry Riesling shines through its great depth and complexity.
