Smoky aromas of mineral reduction, acacia blossom and green apple gives way to almost painfully intense middle weight flavors that are decidedly citrusy while displaying excellent length on the bone-dry, stony and balanced finale. The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet with hints of white peach and vanilla infusing the crushed limestone scents. Very precise. The palate is linear and taut, but there is real weight here. With impressive harmony and quite a suave finish, this sashays along with style and delivers a delicious, peppery aftertaste.
