From tertiary limestone with loamy/clayey soils, the Königsbacher 2022 Riesling Ölberg-Hart VDP.Grosse Lage® opens with a coolish, elegant, flinty and finely aromatic nose with rather coolish fruit intertwined with darker-toned saline notes. From a vineyard located next to the forest, this is a full-bodied, dense and saline, stimulatingly savory Riesling with intense and lush, pretty aromatic yellow (stone) fruit and finely grained acidity. It's remarkably long and always with texture and this salivating, highly refined acidity. 12% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in December 2023. - Stephan Reinhardt, Dez. 2023
