Wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, petals, spices, orange rind and raw cocoa, the 2021 Échezeaux Grand Cru is medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless, with excellent depth and flesh, structured around sweet tannins and concluding with a perfumed finish. Firm reduction. Once again there is very good freshness and underlying tension to the supple and round yet nicely detailed medium weight flavors that exude a bracing salinity on the notably less austere finale.
