Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2020 Meursault Premier Cru Charmes, Thierry et Pascale Matrot
A markedly floral-suffused nose speaks mainly of various ripe white orchard fruit, hazelnut and lemon zest. There is both better volume and richness to the beautifully textured medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality on the seriously persistent if youthfully austere finale. While this too could use a bit more depth, this wine has a superb track record for aging out well. - Allen Meadows, June 2022
