The 2020er Maximin Grünhäuser Herrenberg Riesling Spätlese was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It offers a seductive nose mixing ripe elements of fruits including yellow peach and pineapple with whipped cream, lavender, herbs, and smoke. The wine comes over as superbly juicy and zesty on the currently still slightly sweet tasting palate but leaves already a great sense of freshness and focus to the finish.
