The 2020er Kirchenstück Riesling GG, as it is referred to on the consumer label, proves quite restrained and only hints at the underlying complexity more than delivers it at the moment. Notes of anise, herbs, earthy spices, rose water, and licorice come through with airing. The wine is driven by citrusy fruits and bracing acidity and leaves a quite razor-sharp feel in the very long finish. There is some upside here if the wine manages to integrate its powerful acidity with time. 2025-2030+. - Okt. 2020
