The 2020 Chardonnay is deep, intense, complex and super reductive and flinty on the pure, chalky/marly-driven, well-concentrated and darker-toned nose that reveals fascinating curry plant notes. Round and intense on the almost lush but always refined and saline palate, this is a medium to full-bodied, salty-piquant, crunchy and highly stimulating Chardonnay with a silky texture and, despite its richness, gorgeous finesse and terroir-driven vitality. This is very promising and surely a wine to be aerated for several hours. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in April 2022. - Stephan Reinhardt, Juni 2022
