Another cuvée produced from very old vines is the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers, a striking wine that exhibits notes of red berries, plums, cassis, peonies and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, deep and velvety, it's layered and elegant, with terrific concentration and lively acids. Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Pruliers, Louis Boillot

Whiffs of herbal tea and spice add breadth to the cool, ripe and well-layered nose of various dark berries along with ample amounts of earth and sauvage nuances. There is excellent punch suffusing the succulent but powerful medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract before terminating in an almost painfully intense and hugely long finish. I really like the texture as this is generous yet very clearly constituted for extended cellaring.
