The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has fulfilled all the promise it showed from barrel, bursting with aromas of wild berries, cherries, sweet spices, loamy soil and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and vibrant, it's deep and concentrated, with a seamless profile and a saline finish. It's well worth seeking out. - William Kelley, Jan. 2022

Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin, Louis Boillot

There is a suggestion of herbal tea to the high-toned red berry fruit, newly turned earth and underbrush scented nose. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the saline-inflected flavors on the youthfully austere finale.
