Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Thierry et Pascale Matrot
Like the Perrières, the nose is quite reduced and revealing nothing about the underlying fruit. Interestingly, the middle weight flavors are note as dense but they're almost as fine with excellent delineation and minerality to the youthfully austere, dry and lingering finale. This is very understated in style though I suspect that it will progressively blossom with time in bottle. - Allen Meadows, June 2021
