Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2018 Hohen-Sülzen Kirchenstück Riesling GG is very precise and clear on the flinty and crunchy nose. Intense and charmingly round and rich, this is a tight and well-structured Kirchenstück that is cooler than the 2017. On the palate, this is very salty, finessed and full of tension, which is a good balance to the richness and power. Excellent. Tasted at the domaine in March 2020. - Stephan Reinhardt, Mai 2020
Vinous: Ripe white peach is garlanded in honeysuckle, heliotrope and lily on an enticing nose that suggests we are about to taste a wine more sweetly fruity and perfumed than Spanier usually allows himself. And indeed, the texturally caressing, ingratiating palate impression here could almost have come from a Wehlener Sonnenuhr trocken. Mossy, stony and mouthwateringly saline nuances serve for further inducement (as if needed!) to take the next delicious sip. And this beauty finishes with mouthwatering persistence and admirable transparency to intriguingly stony, as well as floral mossy, kelp-like and iodine nuances. It’s already delightful company and could keep you occupied for hours. Bravo! - David Schildknecht, Nov. 2020
