Aromas of crisp Anjou pear, citrus oil, toasted nuts and dried white flowers introduce the 2018 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Jardin du Calvaire, a medium to full-bodied, lively and perfumed wine derived from a parcel near La Rochepot. Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2018 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Blanc Jardin du Calvaire, Etienne Sauzet

A slightly cooler nose is also quite pretty with its white fleshed fruit scents along with more prominent citrus components. The palate impression of the middle weight flavors is also nicely energetic and while the lingering and linear finish is not quite as complex, it's finer. Vinous - 2018 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Blanc Jardin du Calvaire, Etienne Sauzet

The 2018 Hautes Côtes de Beaune Blanc was picked slightly later than the other crus, around September 10. I find this much more satisfying on the nose compared to the Bourgogne Blanc this year, demonstrating greater depth and complexity, while the palate is less shrill. There is still a little sharpness on the finish due to the marn soils, but this should age nicely over four or five years after bottling. - Neal Martin, Jan. 2020
