Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: Wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, raspberries and plums mingled with raw cocoa and candied peel, the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is medium to full-bodied, velvety and charming, with a ripe core of nicely concentrated fruit, powdery tannins and lively acids. This cuvée saw one of the later malolactic fermentations of the range and took its time to come together, but it is more and more promising. - William Kelley, Feb. 2020
Allen Meadows' Burghound: A more elegant and slightly cooler nose reflects notes of elegant red currant, pomegranate and a pretty floral hint. The racy, intense and beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors exude a refreshing salinity on the mildly tangy and lacy finish. This is very Chambollesque. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2020
Vinous: The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes had been racked four days prior to my visit. Completely de-stemmed, it has a precise bouquet that is slightly austere at first and needs a little more cohesion. The palate is medium-bodied with a pinch of black pepper on the entry, fine balance and crunchy black fruit on the slightly short but fresh finish. Fine. - Neal Martin, Jan. 2020
