Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: One of the broader, more gourmand wines in the cellar is the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes, a dramatic wine that marries rich fruit tones of cherry, pomegranate and plum with savory bass notes of dark chocolate and espresso roast. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, it's structured around ripe but succulent acids and velvety tannins. - William Kelley, Feb. 2020
Allen Meadows' Burghound: A very and appealing fresh nose offers up notes of red and black cherry, cassis and poached plum along with a floral top note. There is fine volume to the caressing and lacy yet more concentrated flavors that are at once refined but powerful and particularly so on the complex and impressively persistent finish. This is a big but balanced Feusselottes. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2020
Vinous: The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuesselottes 1er Cru includes 25% whole-bunch fruit this year and is matured in 100% new oak. The wood comes through strongly on the nose, as you would expect, making the terroir difficult to read at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and quite peppery on the midpalate, with good density. There seems to be sufficient fruit to support the 100% new oak on the finish, but it will require several years to be fully assimilated. Three barrels produced. - Neal Martin, Jan. 2020
