Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes is a beauty, soaring from the glass with aromas of cherries, raspberries, rose petals, orange rind and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, its exquisitely refined tannins are cloaked in an ample core of sapid, concentrated fruit. This is well worth seeking out. - William Kelley, Feb. 2020
Allen Meadows' Burghound: This too is very spicy with its liqueur-like aromas of cherry, black raspberry and poached plum. The highly energetic medium weight flavors possess a seductive texture along with good volume and sappy dry extract that helps to buffer the very firm but not rigid tannic spine on the even more complex and persistent finale. Lovely juice with fine potential. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2020
Vinous: The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru includes no whole-bunch fruit this year and is matured in 100% new oak. It seems to handle the new wood well, offering scents of black cherries, boysenberry and a touch of pain d’épices. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red and black fruit and a fine bead of acidity. Quite vibrant, especially toward the finish. The long aftertaste is very satisfying. Superb. Four barrels produced. - Neal Martin, Jan. 2020
