Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Maréchale is a little more introverted after its recent bottling, unwinding in the glass with a reticent bouquet of red berries, raw cocoa, sweet soil tones and dried flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with good depth at the core and a more structured, introverted profile than the Chambolle that preceded it. The missing ingredient here is a little time. - William Kelley, Jan. 2020
Allen Meadows' Burghound: A markedly earthy nose features notes of various dark berries and hints of game and similar green tea nuances. There is both good detail and a lovely underlying tension to the middle weight flavors that are not quite as refined but offer a bit more complexity on the lingering finish where the intensity and power really build from the mid-palate. This delicious effort should amply repay mid-term cellaring. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2020
Vinous: The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de la Maréchale 1er Cru has a delightful bouquet of raspberry, crushed strawberry and rose petal aromas. The palate seems pliable in the mouth, featuring pure red fruit laced with brown spices and a saline finish that feels precise. Excellent. - Neal Martin, Jan. 2020
