The 2017 Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru unfurls in the glass with a vivid bouquet of crisp green apple, pear, Meyer lemon and oyster shell. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy but cool and controlled, with bright acids and a mineral finish. Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2017 Meursault Blagny Premier Cru, Thierry et Pascale Matrot

This too is really quite pretty with its more exotic nose where notes of mandarin orange, passion fruit and white peach-inflected aromas can be found. There is more volume if less minerality on the medium-bodied flavors that once again are not especially complex though I like the sneaky good length. Vinous - 2017 Meursault Blagny Premier Cru, Thierry et Pascale Matrot

(this fruit was picked around September 6): Pale, bright yellow. Subdued, slightly metallic minerality along with scents of lemon, lime, licorice and fresh herbs on the aromatic nose. At once supple and brisk, with an element of calcaire-driven saline minerality giving the wine a firm shape and a gently penetrating character. This very fresh, moderately concentrated midweight offers attractive balance and good chalky energy. - Stephen Tanzer, Sep. 2018
