Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2017 Hohen-Sülzen Kirchenstück Riesling GG is intense, fine and flinty on the elegant and complex nose. Full-bodied, this is a juicy, intense, creamy-textured, very elegant, refined and balanced Riesling that was pressed without a longer maceration after three or four hours. The finish is intense and very long and reveals crystalline grip and mineral tension. The wine has already started its maturity phase but very slowly. Tasted at the domaine in March 2020. - Stephan Reinhardt, Mai 2020
Vinous: Sweaty salinity mingles with scents of mirabelle, white peach and lemon, all of which anticipate a midpalate combination of mouthwatering mineral inflections with bright fruit juiciness more generous than one typically expects from a Battenfeld-Spanier bottling. The feel is polished and subtly silken, and the superbly sustained finish is blazingly bright, consummately refreshing, mouthwateringly saline, but also sufficiently suffused with chalk that its author’s reputation for crafting “wines of stone” can rest secure. - David Schildknecht, Jul. 2019
