Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2016 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières was the only premier cru touched by frost and quantity was consequently reduced by 50%. That does not appear to have compromised the fragrant nose with scents of white flowers and a hint of aniseed. The palate is well balanced with a fresh entry, quite full in the mouth with quince and nectarine towards the spicy, feisty finish. Perhaps one of the most expressive of Sauzet’s 2016s in its youth, nevertheless it will age well. This is perhaps the most personality-driven of Sauzet's 2016s. - Neil Martin, Dez. 2017
Allen Meadows' Burghound: There is a faint hint of exoticism to the citrus blossom, green apple, mandarin orange and white peach suffused nose. The energetic, rich and delineated full-bodied flavors brim with both minerality and dry extract while delivering fine length on the markedly dry but not really austere finale. This too is good stuff. - Allen Meadows, Jun. 2018
Vinous: Bright pale yellow. Slightly reduced aromas of yellow peach, mint, macadamia and smoky oak are complicated by a leesy nuance. Highly concentrated, tactile wine; broad and dry but creamy too, offering flavors of yellow peach, smoke and minerals. Finishes long, with a hint of sweetness from its rich texture. The estate has four barrels of this wine, one of them new, versus a normal nine. - Stephen Tanzer, Sep. 2018
