Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2016 Marsannay Village has a clean and pure bouquet with blueberry and black cherry fruit, fine definition and good vigor. The palate is fleshy on the entry with plump red berry fruit, crisp acidity, harmonious with a grainy, lightly spiced finish. - Neil Martin, Dez. 2017
Allen Meadows' Burghound: This too flashes mostly pretty and bright red berry aromas along with hints of earth and underbrush. The palate impression of the medium weight flavors is slightly riper as are the supporting tannins though here too there is a hint of dryness on the sneaky long finish. This is attractive in its fashion but the balance isn't perfect. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2018
Vinous: (much of the crop here was lost to frost; tasted from tank): Bright, dark ruby-red. Aromas of black cherry and licorice, plus a whiff of goat cheese (from reduction?). Juicy and penetrating but a bit hard-edged, even peppery. Tough going and very tight today, finishing with a peppery pungency. - Stephen Tanzer, Jan. 2018
