Allen Meadows' Burghound: Once again the nose is firmly reduced. By contrast there is a really lovely mouth feel to the textured, seductive and nicely concentrated medium-bodied flavors that firm up rapidly on the borderline robust and vibrant finish. This is a quality effort but it's not quite as harmonious and seamless as the Chambolle. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2017
Vinous: Bright ruby-red; a bit less saturated than the Chambolle-Musigny. Very ripe aromas of black raspberry and chocolate/mocha torrefaction. Then fresher on the palate than the nose suggests, and showing less easy sweetness than the village Chambolle. The 50+.% whole-cluster element gives this dense village wine a tighter, slightly peppery aspect, as well as a faintly empyreumatic character. Still a bit clenched and youthfully medicinal, this wine finishes with serious, broad tannins that saturate the entire palate. - Stephen Tanzer, Jan. 2018
