The 2015 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru finished its malolactic earlier than other cuvées this year and there is a tiny stem addition in the final blend. It has a well-defined, quite pure and floral bouquet that gains intensity in the glass. The palate is quite dense on the entry, sinewy in the mouth with crunchy red and black fruit, a little hardness towards the finish, although that will soften by the time of bottling. This is a classy, quite sophisticated Clos de Vougeot, although I found more flair expressed by the Echézeaux at the moment. - Neil Martin, Dez. 2016

Like a distillation of cherry, blueberry and rose aromas and flavors, this balanced red is both intense and ethereal, with the aftertaste leaving a haunting elegy of the essence of place. Continues to unfold in layers on the long, mineral- and spice-infused finish. Best from 2024 through 2045. - Mai 2018

Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2015 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, Méo-Camuzet

This is also notably ripe but attractively fresh with its array of various dark berries, earth and a pretty violet nuance. On the palate the generous, muscular and equally rich flavors possess a sleek mouth feel while delivering super length on the once again irreproachably well-balanced finish. The Méo Clos de Vougeot is rarely a big wine in the context of what is typical for the appellation yet the 2015 version is definitely bigger and more powerful than usual. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2017

Vinous - 2015 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, Méo-Camuzet

Bright dark red. Very ripe but laid-back aromas of black cherry, licorice and mocha. Impressive dense and powerful but rather refined for Clos Vougeot, conveying a youthfully medicinal quality to its black cherry, dark berry and licorice flavors. This this classically dry, deep wine is less strict and severe than Clos Vougeot can often be, but it's still more Clos-Vougeot than 2015 in character. Finishes very long and alive, but I still give the edge to its young 2016 sibling today for that wine's charm and elegance. - Stephen Tanzer, Jan. 2018
