Allen Meadows' Burghound: This is aromatically more elegant with its ripe and airy nose of various red berries, plum and dark currant scents that are liberally laced with earth nuances. Consistent with the nose the middle weight flavors are more refined thanks mainly to the finer grain of the supporting tannins that appear on the intense, firm, linear and again very serious finale. This is also a very impressive Nuits villages and worth considering. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2016

Vinous: (from 60+-year-old vines on the north side of the village, worked en fermage): Bright ruby-red. The nose conveys a sexy coolness to the aromas of blackberry, violet, white pepper and crushed rock. Then surprisingly supple and creamy in the mouth, but with its sweet blackberry fruit energized by bright acidity and supported by a firm tannic spine. A very suave, long Nuits villages. - Stephen Tanzer, Jan. 2016
