Allen Meadows' Burghound: A spicy and more complex aromatic profile offers up notes of earthy red and dark raspberry scents. The mouth feel of the middle weight flavors is unusually sleek in the context of the appellation thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins, all wrapped in a mildly austere finish that delivers excellent length on the balanced finish. This is also really quite good and worth considering. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2016
Vinous: (from a single parcel of red clay over gravel and sand in Brochon): Bright, dark red. Very ripe cherry and a whiff of chocolate on the slightly medicinal nose. Sweet, silky and pliant following the examples from the Côte de Beaune, with cherry, tobacco and rust flavors complicated by a saline nuance. Firmly structured wine but with relatively suave tannins compared to the Côte de Beaune cuvées. This wine will go well with a rare steak. - Stephen Tanzer, Jan. 2016
