Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 2013 Côte de Nuits Villages, Louis Boillot
This year, the 2013 Côtes de Nuits Village was blended with fruit from Fixin and it seems to have “bolstered” this wine. It has an appealing mint and violet-scented bouquet that is bashful at first, but opens with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins, crisp red cherries and cranberry fruit with decent structure on the finish. Enjoy this fine Côtes de Nuits Village over the next four or five years. - Neil Martin, Dez. 2014

Allen Meadows' Burghound - 2013 Côte de Nuits Villages, Louis Boillot
An expressive nose of mostly red berry fruit scents possesses background hints of earth and humus. The supple and round middle weight flavors are attractively vibrant and intense, all wrapped in a lightly mineral-inflected finish that is presently ever-so-slightly austere. - Allen Meadows, Jan. 2015

Vinous - 2013 Côte de Nuits Villages, Louis Boillot
Healthy medium red. Aromas of cassis, blackberry and minerals accented by herbs and menthol. Juicy, spicy and intense but a bit greener and more sinewy than the Pommard Les Croix Noires that preceded it in my tasting. Not a sweet style but boasts excellent spine and precision. Strong acidity is keeping the wine's fruit under wraps today, but this Côtes de Nuits-Villages has the structure to evolve well in bottle. (Incidentally, Boillot also showed me an extremely promising Bourgogne, made from parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin and Brochon. With its open-knit, slightly high-toned aromas of black cherry, pomegranate, violet and minerals and its juicy, crunchy, more red-fruity middle palate and mouthcoating, rising finish, this was one of the most surprising wines of its humble appellation that I tasted from this vintage in November. It should be a bargain-hunter's delight.) - Stephen Tanzer, Jan. 2015
