Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2011 Volnay 1er Cru Les Fremiets has an attractive, minty bouquet with touches of mushroom and forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied with a chocolate-tinged entry. The tannins feel supple and the acidity nicely judged, the finish needing a few more months to fully integrate. Not a bad Volnay by any means, but in my opinion, surpassed by other vintages encountered over the years. - Neil Martin, Dez. 2013

89 / 100

Allen Meadows' Burghound: There is a beguiling perfume to the high-toned nose of pure essence of red pinot fruit and herbal notes that reveal plenty of wet stone character. There is a palpable sense of underlying tension as this is particularly vibrant and this sensation is enhanced by the intense salinity that pervades both the mid-palate as well as the impressively persistent and mouth coating finish that displays just a touch of asperity. While the 2011 version is not as firm as some vintages this should reward 8 to 10 years of cellar time.- Allen Meadows, Apr. 2014

94 / 100

Vinous: Dark red cherry, plum and spice notes abound in the 2011 Volnay Fremiets. A rich, juicy wine for the year, the 2011 impresses for its volume and pure voluptuousness. Although quite racy for the vintage, the 2011 has more than enough depth and structure to drink nicely for at least a number of years. There is so much to like here, not least of which is the wine's open, resonant personality. - Antonio Galloni, März 2014

An Eleganz kaum zu überbieten. Sehr charmante und reife Frucht ohne zu dick aufzutragen. Seidig und doch von berührender Tiefe.
